มาตรา 183 ผู้ใดกระทำความผิดตามมาตรา 177 มาตรา 178 หรือมาตรา 180 แล้วลุแก่โทษ และกลับแจ้งความจริงต่อศาลหรือเจ้าพนักงานก่อนมีคำพิพากษา และก่อนตนถูกฟ้องในความผิดที่ได้กระทำ ศาลจะลงโทษน้อยกว่าที่กฎหมายกำหนดไว้สำหรับความผิดนั้นเพียงใดก็ได้
Section 183 Whoever, having committed the offence under Section 177, 178, or 180, submits and reverts to telling the truth to the court or the official before judgment and before being prosecuted for the offence committed, the court may impose a punishment below that provided by law to whatever extent.
