มาตรา 52 ในการลดโทษประหารชีวิต ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการลดมาตราส่วนโทษหรือลดโทษที่จะลง ให้ลดดังต่อไปนี้
(1) ถ้าจะลดหนึ่งในสามให้ลดเป็นโทษจำคุกตลอดชีวิต
(2) ถ้าจะลดกึ่งหนึ่ง ให้ลดเป็นโทษจำคุกตลอดชีวิต หรือโทษจำคุกตั้งแต่ยี่สิบห้าปีถึงห้าสิบปี
Section 52 In reducing the death penalty, whether by reducing the scale of punishment or reducing the punishment to be imposed, the reduction shall be as follows:
(1) if reduced by one-third, it shall be reduced to imprisonment for life;
(2) if reduced by one-half, it shall be reduced to imprisonment for life, or imprisonment of twenty-five to fifty years.
