มาตรา 246 ผู้ใดทำเครื่องมือหรือวัตถุสำหรับปลอมหรือแปลงเงินตรา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเหรียญกระษาปณ์ ธนบัตร หรือสิ่งใด ๆ ซึ่งรัฐบาลออกใช้หรือให้อำนาจให้ออกใช้ หรือสำหรับปลอมหรือแปลงพันธบัตรรัฐบาลหรือใบสำคัญสำหรับรับดอกเบี้ยพันธบัตรนั้น ๆ หรือมีเครื่องมือหรือวัตถุเช่นว่านั้น เพื่อใช้ในการปลอมหรือแปลง ต้องระวางโทษจำคุกตั้งแต่ห้าปีถึงสิบห้าปี และปรับตั้งแต่หนึ่งแสนบาทถึงสามแสนบาท
Section 246 Whoever makes a tool or material for counterfeiting or altering currency — whether a coin, banknote, or anything the government issues or authorizes — or for counterfeiting or altering a government bond or interest coupon, or has such a tool or material for use in counterfeiting or altering, shall be liable to imprisonment of five to fifteen years and a fine of one hundred thousand to three hundred thousand baht.
