มาตรา 316 ถ้าผู้กระทำความผิดตามมาตรา 313 มาตรา 314 หรือมาตรา 315 จัดให้ผู้ถูกเอาตัวไป ผู้ถูกหน่วงเหนี่ยวหรือผู้ถูกกักขังได้รับเสรีภาพก่อนศาลชั้นต้นพิพากษา โดยผู้นั้นมิได้รับอันตรายสาหัสหรือตกอยู่ในภาวะอันใกล้จะเป็นอันตรายต่อชีวิต ให้ลงโทษน้อยกว่าที่กฎหมายกำหนดไว้ แต่ไม่น้อยกว่ากึ่งหนึ่ง

Section 316 If an offender under Section 313, 314, or 315 procures the freeing of the person taken away, detained, or confined before the Court of First Instance gives judgment, where that person did not suffer grievous bodily harm or fall into a state on the verge of danger to life, the punishment shall be imposed below that provided by law, but not less than one-half.
