มาตรา 343 ถ้าการกระทำความผิดตามมาตรา 341 ได้กระทำด้วยการแสดงข้อความอันเป็นเท็จต่อประชาชน หรือด้วยการปกปิดความจริงซึ่งควรบอกให้แจ้งแก่ประชาชน ผู้กระทำต้องระวางโทษจำคุกไม่เกินห้าปี หรือปรับไม่เกินหนึ่งแสนบาท หรือทั้งจำทั้งปรับ
ถ้าการกระทำความผิดดังกล่าวในวรรคแรก ต้องด้วยลักษณะดังกล่าวในมาตรา 342 อนุมาตราหนึ่งอนุมาตราใดด้วย ผู้กระทำต้องระวางโทษจำคุกตั้งแต่หกเดือนถึงเจ็ดปี และปรับตั้งแต่หนึ่งหมื่นบาทถึงหนึ่งแสนสี่หมื่นบาท
Section 343 If the offence under Section 341 is committed by asserting a falsehood to the public, or by concealing a fact which should be disclosed to the public, the offender shall be liable to imprisonment not exceeding five years or a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand baht, or both.
If the offence under the first paragraph also has any of the characteristics under Section 342, the offender shall be liable to imprisonment of six months to seven years and a fine of ten thousand to one hundred and forty thousand baht.
